Formula
Millions = Number / 1,000,000
To convert a number to millions, divide by one million (10 to the 6th power). To convert millions to a raw number, multiply by one million. One million equals one thousand thousands or 0.001 billions.

Problem:A company earned 45,700,000 dollars last quarter. Express in millions.
Solution:Millions = Number / 1,000,000\nMillions = 45,700,000 / 1,000,000 = 45.7\nThousands = 45,700,000 / 1,000 = 45,700\nBillions = 45,700,000 / 1,000,000,000 = 0.0457

Example 2: Converting Millions to Raw Number

Solution:Raw Number = Millions x 1,000,000\nRaw = 67.5 x 1,000,000 = 67,500,000\nThousands = 67.5 x 1,000 = 67,500\nBillions = 67.5 / 1,000 = 0.0675
Result:67.5 million = 67,500,000 = 67,500 thousand
