Euros = Cents / 100 | Cents = Euros x 100
One euro equals 100 cents. Divide the number of cents by 100 to get euros, or multiply euros by 100 to get cents. For multiple items, first multiply the per-item amount by the quantity, then convert. The coin breakdown uses a greedy algorithm starting from the largest denomination.

Solution:Euros = Cents / 100\n= 3,475 / 100\n= 34.75 euros\n= 34 euros and 75 cents\nMinimum coins: 17x 2-euro + 1x 50-cent + 1x 20-cent + 1x 5-cent
Result:3,475 cents = 34.75 euros
Example 2: Multiple Items in Cents
Problem:An item costs 199 cents. You buy 5. What is the total in euros?
Solution:Total cents = 199 * 5 = 995 cents\nEuros = 995 / 100 = 9.95 euros\n= 9 euros and 95 cents
Result:5 items at 199 cents each = 9.95 euros
