Formula
New Height = Original Height × (New Width / Original Width)
Maintains aspect ratio by scaling height proportionally to width. Aspect ratio = width / height.
Worked Examples
Example 1: 1920×1080 to 1280
Problem:Resize 1920×1080 to 1280 wide
Solution:1080 × (1280/1920) = 720
Result:1280×720 (66.7% scale)
